Summer of Sounds

Every Saturday until end September
Fore Street | 10am – 1pm

Look out for live music from Drew Mason, Fingers ‘n Fumbs, Hannah Loibl and Topsham Folk Club, to name but a few of our local favourites playing up to mid-September. Performances are from around 10am to 1pm at The Quay and on Fore Street so do come into town and support local talent while you shop.

Residents’ Meet Up

Tuesday September 7
The Globe, Topsham | 6pm – 8pm

This is one of the big events this autumn in Topsham. The Love Topsham Residents’ Meet Up is a new and improved version of the old After Work Socials – you may remember these from before the pandemic. This Meet Up is perfect for new residents to come to, as well as longer-standing locals keen to get to know more of their new neighbours. Love Topsham Cardholders (including those signing up on the night) will receive a complimentary welcome drink and there are free nibbles for everyone courtesy of The Globe!

Places are limited to 50 so please RSVP here with priority given to new residents. The event will be held outside but under cover.

Business Meet Up

Tuesday September 21
The Lord Nelson, Topsham | 6pm – 8pm

Here’s another autumn must-attend session – and again it’s an evolution of the After Work Socials. The Business Meet Ups are designed to bring Love Topsham Business Supporters together – that includes shops, restaurants, cafes and other businesses plus staff as well as holiday let owners – to share ideas and connect! Everyone is invited on Tuesday September 21 at 6pm for a complimentary drink and canapes at the Lord Nelson – but you must pre-book as places are limited. This is the ideal opportunity to get to know your local business community, catch up with familiar faces and meet those you don’t recognise!

Places limited to 50 so please RSVP here with priority to businesses of all kinds. The event will be held outside but under cover.

Local Business Fair

Sunday October 3
Matthews Hall | 10am – 1pm

There will be demos from massages to food-makers, reflexology to bootcamps! It’s set to be a vibrant event showcasing local talent you very likely didn’t even know existed in our town. Slot it in your diary now and watch this space for more details!

Christmas Switch On

Friday November 26
Outside Matthews Hall | From 5pm

Light-fitting cherry-pickers are booked, live music is organised and venues are confirmed – it’s all underway already. The Christmas Switch On event (the one we missed in 2020 because of you-know-what) will be on November 26. We can promise you that Topsham will be looking incredible, traditional and in the mood to make up for a difficult year. There will be Christmas trees, festive lights, carols and a procession. It all starts November 26 at 5pm – more details of this and other Christmas activities to follow nearer the time.

Christmas Shopping Evening

Tuesday November 30
Across Topsham | 5pm – 9pm

With a backdrop of the Christmas street lights, and trees above shops across town, join a magical evening of shopping, street entertainment, eating and drinking.

Add to that a festive market in St Margaret’s Church with fairy lights adorning the walls and carol singers singing outside. This is where memories are made!

If you have a business that would like to take a stall to sell your wares on the night, then please let us know. Stall spaces are limited.
