Join The Club! Long Weekend 5th, 7th, 8th September 2019

Here is your chance to find a new interest right on your doorstep. 17 of Topsham’s venues will be opening their doors so you can visit, watch and try out your way around 52 clubs, classes and societies.

You’re in for a packed weekend!

Bowling? An aerial yoga class? Petanque? Choir? Asking questions at the Sailing Club? Joining the Film Club? Trying Tai Chi?…..hmm, what will you try?

Over the weekend, you will be able to pick up a Join The Club! guide with all the activities listed on it.
Use it to plan your weekend PLUS collect 5 stamps or more along the trail to redeem for a free drink at the Beer & Bacon Festival!

11. Scrum down  5-8.30pm

Come along and watch or join in with Mens, Ladies, Juniors (girls and boys) and Walking Rugby at Topsham Rugby Club. The Members Bar will be open where you can find out more about all things rugby and the other activities that take place at the Clubhouse.

16. Match Point  10-12 midday
Pop along or join in an open tennis session at the courts close to the pool.

14. Chat, pray, love  10-12 midday
Get shown around and hear about St Nicholas Church’s seafaring history and activities.

1. Get green-fingered  10.30-11.30am
Learn about the Allotments & Gardens Society at the Trading Hut on the allotments.

5. ♥ Move into health  10-3pm
Pop in and chat to the team at Estuary Clinic, watch a class or try one or two of the taster sessions available.
(All taster classes are between 30 and 45 mins, booking recommended).

You’ll be amazed to see that there are so many things that go on at Nancy Potter House for all ages. Come and find out about all the classes, groups and facilities that are available. You are also welcome to join in with:

Learn about local wildlife and how to get involved with the RSPB.

14. Sing your heart out  12-1pm
Join the Quay Note Singers in an open session.

12. Nautical Antics  12-2pm
Learn how to tie knots and rig a topper dinghy at the Sailing Club! There will also be members on hand for advice on how to get involved.

3. Bowled over!  12-2pm
Come and try your hand at bowls at their beautiful setting.

17. Goatbusters. 12-2pm
Goat Walk Land Trust volunteers will be on hand to show people around and answer questions.

15. Small and mighty. 12-4pm
Pop down to the jetty (behind the recreation ground) meet some of the members of the Small Craft Club and find out everything you need to know.

See how to get involved and join in activities at the museum.

10. ♥ Get Revitalized. 2-5pm
From yoga to book clubs and jiving! Visit Revitalize Studios for some fun-filled tasters or just pop in for a hot drink and chat about the varied timetable that includes pre-natal, fitness and even dance classes!

Who hasn’t wanted to try bellringing? Now you can!

Learn the pleasure and fun or arranging church flowers.

Why not try petanque on the pitch or table tennis with the seniors at Dorothy Holman Centre? Then there’s the trail around the rec with the scouts, plus instructors on hand from Topsham School of dance, Zumba and a taster class of Pilates.
