Christmas Lights switch on and Market
It’s going to be a Christmas to remember in Topsham this year!
Festivities start on November 24 with Love Topsham’s Christmas Lights Switch On. From 4.30pm that day there will be spectacular street entertainment – we’re talking a samba band in illuminated festive outfits plus jaw-dropping puppetry to entertain the children.
At 5pm the lights go on and a procession heads to Topsham Quay, led by a festive Tuk Tuk carrying our Town Crier. At the Quay there will be carols, samba dancing, a street magician and an appearance by – you guessed it – Santa, ahead of the lighting of Topsham’s very biggest Christmas Tree close to the estuary.
That same evening – from 5pm until 8.30pm, November 24 – Love Topsham’s annual Festive Market will take place in the town’s St Margaret’s Church with over 20 stalls showcasing arts, crafts, food and drink from Exeter’s finest artisan producers. It’s the ideal opportunity to bag a unique gift.
